The Ministy of ICT in partnership with the Ministry of Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Labour,
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and partners in the civil society and private sector have set up the Ajira Digital Program to bridge the gap between skills,
demand and lack of jobs.
The program aims to introduce young university students to online work and provide the tools, training and mentorship needed for young people to work and earn an income. Conseqeuntly, the team intends to train 10,000 youth on how to take up online jobs in the month of june.
The Ministry of ICT shall be holding a meeting in Machakos University on 7th June, 2017 on the same matter (Ajira Digital program).
The expected guests at the forum will be The Principal Secretary (State Department of ICT & Innovation), Information Secretary and Advisors to the CS.
The six hundred and eight (608) students that registered to attend the event as at 5th June 2017 are welcome.
