Machakos University Masters Teacher Training Workshop on Digital and AI Skills in Partnership with KPMG, UNESCO, Microsoft, and Tablet Academy

A three-day Master Teacher Trainers in Digital and AI Skills and Pedagogies workshop in partnership with UNESCO, KPMG, Microsoft, and Tablet Academy was held at Machakos University from on 14th – 16th May, 2025. The workshop’s main goal was to provide lecturers with the newest technological resources, basic and advanced AI skills. By doing this, the university to guarantee that students obtain an education prepared for the future by improving educational approaches in a rapidly changing technology environment.

The primary goal of the workshop was to equip university lecturers with foundational and advanced skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI), alongside the latest digital tools and pedagogical approaches. This initiative reflects Machakos University’s commitment to enhancing teaching and learning in a rapidly evolving technological landscape, ensuring that students receive an education that is future-ready.

Throughout the sessions, participants engaged in hands-on training facilitated by specialists in digital education. Key areas of focus included the integration of AI-powered tools into lesson planning, content delivery, assessment, and personalized learning. Discussions also covered essential topics such as data-informed decision making, digital fluency, and the ethical use of AI across various disciplines.
