Amb. Simon Nabukwesi, the Principal Secretary of the State Department of University Education and Research paid a courtesy call to Machakos University on Friday, 28th October 2022. The PS was cordially welcomed by Ag. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Peter Mwita, together with the Ag. Deputy Vice-Chancellor-Administration, Planning and Finance- Prof. Mugendi K. M’rithaa and other senior members of management. The aim of courtesy call was to follow up on the ongoing government-sponsored projects within the University. The PS wanted to know the status of these projects and find out their progress, and any challenges and determine their completion timelines.
During the discussions, Amb. Simon Nabukwesi thanked the University management for the good work at the University. He acknowledged the tremendous work that had been put into the ongoing Tuition and Administration Block despite the low funding from the government. The Principal Secretary pointed out that the government is keen on the completion of any government project that is in progress.
On behalf of the University, the Ag. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Peter Mwita appreciated and acknowledged the support and goodwill from the government through the Ministry of Education to have all University projects completed. He thanked the Principal Secretary, State Department of University Education and Research for the courtesy call to the University.
