Dean, Graduate School The Graduate School is one of the fastest growing schools in Machakos University. The school was established after the University received the charter in October 2016. The vision of the Graduate School is to be a leading centre of excellence in transforming society through quality research and academic zeal. The School is in charge of admission of postgraduate students and co-ordinating all postgraduate programmes in the various schools in the University.

Since its inception, the School has produced ninety seven postgraduate students in the last nine graduation ceremonies. The School has put in place measures to ensure that high quality standards are maintained in both curriculum implementation and students research work such as anti-plagiarism testing of students’ research work at two levels.
Moreover, the Graduate School has developed several tools to guide the postgraduate students as they pursue their studies; Handbook for Postgraduate Students, Students Progress Supervision Form and an annual ALMANAC for thesis/projects oral defences among others. Through the Division of Research, Innovation and Linkages, the Graduate School links postgraduate students with research institutes and organizations that can fund their research work and provide scholarships.
As the Dean of the Graduate School, I wish to welcome all potential students to join or refer student(s) to Machakos University as we look forward to elevating the University to global standards in academic excellence.
