It’s a Bronze Mark of Excellence for Machakos University as Jaqueline Madara Wins Two Prestigious ICT Awards

Ms. Jaqueline Madara from Machakos University ICT Department was on Friday, 21st November 2025 honored with two major international awards, distinguishing her as one of Africa’s top ICT leaders. She received:

  • Top 100 Bronze Mark of Excellence 2025
  • 2025 Africa Chief Information Officer Award at the Africa ICT Champion Awards

These recognitions came from a competitive pool of over 2,000 nominees across four categories. The AfiCTA Africa ICT Champion Awards celebrate exceptional leaders in both the public and private sectors who have demonstrated outstanding contributions to the ICT ecosystem.

The awards were announced during the AfiCTA Annual Summit 2025. AfiCTA is a highly respected private-sector-led alliance bringing together ICT associations, multinational corporations, companies, organizations, and professionals from across the continent. With membership spanning 38 African countries, AfiCTA’s mission is to ensure that the promise of the digital age is fully realized for all.

In addition to Jaqueline’s remarkable achievements, Machakos University was also honored with the Bronze Mark of Excellence, a prestigious recognition of the institution’s commitment to ICT innovation and leadership. Machakos University emerged as the only educational institution to receive such an award.
