TVET STUDENTS ORIENTATION AND MARTICULATION SESSION

On Friday, 19th February, 2021 Over One Thousand (1,000) TVET Students who were admitted in Machakos University, were inducted and taken through the formal process of becoming eligible students of the University, by taking the Matriculation Oath administered by the Director of TVET, Mr. Joel Mulelu.
The TVET Freshmen, were told by Prof. Peter Mwita, the Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Research, Innovation and Linkages (also representing the Vice-Chancellor in this Occasion) that they are the future Technocrats Kenya will rely on in the near future and that they have taken a bold step by Joining Machakos University to study and train. They were also inducted on the rules and regulations of the University, research and innovation opportunities to tap to and above all the student life of Machakos University. They were told by the Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Joyce Agalo, that Discipline is paramount when it comes to success in academia.
Present during the occasion were Prof. Ezra Okemwa (Registrar in charge of Academic and Student Affairs); Dr. Stephen Mailu, the Deputy Registrar (Academic and Student Affairs), Dr. Alex Kamwaria (Dean of Students); Dr. Alice Nzioka (Dean – School of Hospitality and Tourism Management); Chairmen of Various Academic Departments, Section Coordinators in the Directorate of TVET among others.
