Re-opening of the University

Following the Ministry of Education Press Release dated 29th September, 2020 on the Reopening of Universities and Tertiary Institutions, the  University Senate in its special meeting held on Thursday, 1st October, 2020 resolved that:

  1. The final year students in the School of Engineering and Technology, final year diploma students in the School of Hospitality and Tourism, final year students in the Schools of Education and Agricultural Sciences taking courses in Physics, Chemistry and Biology to report to the University on Monday 12th October, 2020 to complete practical sessions that were not completed before the University was closed in March, 2020.
  2. The examinations for the final year students (5th year engineering, 4th year non-engineering and Diploma students) and part-time programmes students shall be administered between Monday, 19th to Wednesday, 28th October, 2020.
  3. Students are required to have registered their units and paid full fees for them to be allowed to sit for examinations
  4. All the other continuing students will be communicated to in due course on when they shall report to the University to sit for Semester 2, 2019/2020 Academic Year Examinations

Only students who have been advised to report to the University will be allowed to access the University premises.

Students are advised to observe the Ministry of Heath guidelines and protocols on protection against COVID-19.
