SRC Conducts Monitoring Exercise at Machakos University to Enhance Payroll Integrity and Compliance

The Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) conducted its scheduled monitoring and evaluation exercise at Machakos University on Tuesday, 7th October 2025, with SRC Commissioner Mr. Abdiwahab Aboi leading the delegation.
The visit, forms part of the Commission’s constitutional mandate to ensure all public institutions adhere to nationally set remuneration and benefits guidelines.
Throughout the day, Commissioner Aboi and the team from the SRC Secretariat held productive engagements with the University’s management and technical staff. The exercise aimed to assess Machakos University’s level of compliance with SRC advisories and to address any challenges encountered in implementation.
The visit concluded with a guided tour of the Luban Workshop, EPIP Centre and the Jitume Centre, where the SRC team commended the University for its commitment to innovation, skills development, and technology-driven learning.
